Gifts for 10 year olds

For many children, the development phase around 10 years old is packed with learning and fast-paced cognitive growth. Your child may seem to blossom from a little kid into a much bigger one with emerging critical thinking skills, huge advances in academic learning, a drive for independence, a growing social life, and a lot to say! They also begin to have a greater awareness of the perspectives of others and how they relate to their own. That being said, children still want the approval and guidance of their parents. Ten-year-olds tend to feel very close to their parents, siblings, and extended family.

Continue to support their development by spending time on arts and craft activities together and promoting their learning with science toys to encourage those critical thinking skills and analysis. The anatomy models from leading science brand Thames and Kosmos are great for studying humans and animals in detail. Develop those sewing and knitting skills with kits from The Make Arcade, Janod and Buttonbag, paint ever more intricate designs with the Aquarellum range of painting by numbers kits and explore more intricate crafts with Djeco. Arts, crafts, games and puzzles at this age are great for exploring techniques in greater detail, developing skills, having some screen-free activity time and spending time with family and friends.
